About
Leadership Niagara
Leadership Niagara was founded in 1984 through a collaboration with the Gannett Foundation, Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce, Cornell University, Niagara Gazette, and the Niagara County Legislature. It was the first program of its kind in New York State. Thanks to all of our early pioneers and supporters: Wayne Jagow, Peter Wendel, David Greenfield, Annemarie Bettino, William Ross, Robert Kazeangin, Jerry Bream and many others for giving us a proud history and strong foundation to build upon.

OUR MISSION
To cultivate capacity building for current and future leaders that will strengthen and sustain regional leadershipin public and private community organizations.

OUR VISION
We want to become the premier leadership resource offering current and future leaders high-quality professional and personal development that evolves and aligns with the issues and critical needs of the Niagara Region. We want them to become transformative thinkers and change agents that will lead to the betterment of the organization or community they serve.

OUR COMMITTMENT TO DIVERSITY
We strongly believe successful leaders must be equipped with the understanding and knowledge that an inclusive culture connects to the communities they serve. We are committed to training leaders that will be compassionate and responsible for elevating the issues of racial equity and social justice working towards equality for all. Diversity among us drives innovative ideas and creative thinking, transcending into social and economic change, producing a greater quality of life for the under-represented populations and the overall public good.
